All You Need To Know About Boxing Shorts

Boxing has had a long and illustrious history. Today it is one of the most recognizable sports throughout the world. It is an easy sport to start training in and also one of the most affordable. The popularity of the sport has recently been on an even great tear due to this year’s Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight.  A distinct feature of the sport is its simple and limited attire, simply a pair of shorts. So much so that as athletes go through the sport, they are recognized for their distinct choice in boxing shorts.

In fast paced fights, fighters are usually discerned by colour of their Boxing shorts rather than their names. As a result of the huge following of the sport and the single distinct attire boxers wear, choosing theright type of boxing shorts is very important.

Some key considerations to evaluate in picking the right pair of boxing shorts such as how durable the boxing shorts are need to be taken into account. If it is going to be the sole article of clothing you're wearing and doing so for longer periods of time for both fights and training, they have to be well crafted to bear the wear and tear of a boxing bout.

As is the case, in MMA and kickboxing, boxing shorts that have a wide leg make allow much freer movement and are among the preferred option among boxers, especially for fast-paced fights that require lightning fast response to an attack, either with a counter offense or an evasion. Although there is not much of a requirement of boxing shorts of a certain length, that's mostly a personal choice, it is important to have shorts that are loose enough to keep you comfortable but snug enough so that slipping boxing shorts don't have to be constantly adjusted during a fight.

Boxing has been a household name for decades. And over the years, there have been numerous boxers, Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Marciano to name a few, that have been imprinted on the minds of fans all over the world. Each had their own distinct style of boxing shorts and it was the colour of their boxing shorts by which they were often referred to in the ring.
